[origin: WO03085478A1] The invention concerns a cable-operated control mechanism for a remote element to be maneuvered, comprising a hand lever (2) pivoting about a pin (3) concurrently pivoting a member maneuvering (1) the cable. A positioning member (7) enables immobilization of the hand lever (2) through notching. An electromagnetic switching member (8), integral with the pivoting movement of the hand lever (2), is designed to actuate a switch (9, 9'). The hand lever (2), the positioning member (7) and the switching member (8) are arranged integral in the extension of one another, so as to take advantage of the accuracy derived from the movements transmitted by the hand lever (2) to the member (1) maneuvering the cable and to the switching member (8), to actuate at least one switch (5 and 9, 9') which is respectively attached thereto.
