Abstract (en)
Patient treatment couch has a support plate (1) and floor-standing base (4) on which the support plate is mounted. The support plate can be adjusted relative to the base in three coordinate directions so that the patient can be positioned in a desired position. The support plate can also be pivoted about horizontal axes (13, 19) that are perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. An independent claim is made for a method for positioning a patient by pivoting the support about horizontal axes perpendicular to the couch longitudinal axis.

Behandlungsliege zur Lagerung eines Patienten mit einer Liegeplatte (1) für den Patienten und einer Basis (4) zur Abstützung der Liegeplatte (1) auf einem Boden (6), wobei die Liegeplatte (1) gegenüber der Basis (4) entlang einer zu ihrer Längsrichtung parallelen Y-Richtung, einer dazu senkrechten horizontalen X-Richtung und einer vertikalen Z-Richtung verstellbar ist, um die Lageposition des Patienten einzustellen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Liegeplatte (1) bei der Verstellung um eine senkrecht zu der Y-Richtung liegende Drehachse (13, 19) geschwenkt wird. <IMAGE>
