Abstract (en)
[origin: US2006248648A1] The invention relates to a treatment couch for accommodation of a patient, comprising a lying surface ( 1 ), for the patient and a base ( 4 ), for supporting the lying surface ( 1 ) on a floor ( 6 ), whereby the lying surface ( 1 ) may be adjusted relative to the base ( 4 ) along a Y-direction parallel to the longitudinal direction thereof, a horizontal X-direction perpendicular thereto and a vertical Z-direction, in order to adjust the lying position of the patient, characterised in that, on adjusting the lying surface ( 1 ), the same is pivoted about a rotational axis ( 13, 19 ) perpendicular to the Y-direction. The invention further relates to a treatment couch for accommodating a patient provided with a headrest for the head of the patient, whereby a drive for the vertical adjustment of the headrest is inbuilt, such that the headrest may be removed as a module with the drive.
