Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1498378A1] A bobbin winding assembly has a finger-guide traversing the width of the rotating cross-wound bobbin. On reaching the outer margin the finger (13) reverses direction. The finger moves under the influence near the point of reversal under the influence of two stationary permanent magnets (30, 31) that store potential energy prior to the reversal point and surrender potential after the reversal point. The magnets are arranged with like poles in close proximity to the motor shaft (39) left and right of the finger (13) movement arc. When the drive motor (14) is off the magnets return the finger guide to the mid-point. The two stationary permanent magnets and a permanent magnet moving with the finger all have the same radial distance fro the swivel axis.
