A continuous curtain-coating process applied to textiles, in which a horizontally-moving textile sheet is coated with vertically-falling curtain(s) of fluid(s) containing compounds with carbon-carbon double bonds and/or epoxide groups, which are then hardened by polymerisation with the aid of UV light or electron beam radiation. A continuous curtain-coating process in which a horizontally-moving textile sheet is coated with one or more curtains of coating fluid falling vertically under gravity, each of which is then exposed to UV light or electron beam radiation (EB) so that all hardenable compounds are hardened by polymerisation on the textile. The textile material may be dried after all coating fluids have been applied, and at least one of the fluids contains compound(s) with one or more carbon-carbon double bonds and/or one or more epoxide groups.

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Vorhangbeschichtung (curtain coating) von textilen Flächengebilden beschrieben. Hierbei werden auf eine bewegte Bahn eines textilen Flächengebildes mittels Vorhangbeschichtung eine oder mehrere Beschichtungsflüssigkeiten aufgebracht. Anschließend wird durch Behandlung mit UV-Licht oder Elektronenstrahlen Beschichtungsflüssigkeit auf dem textilen Material ausgehärtet. Mindestens eine Beschichtungsflüssigkeit enthält eine Verbindung mit einer oder mehreren polymerisierbaren Kohlenstoff-Kohlenstoff-Doppelbindungen oder mit mindestens einer Epoxigruppe. Durch das Verfahren lassen sich beschichtete textile Flächengebilde mit vorteilhaften Eigenschaften erhalten.
