Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03089349A1] Disclosed is a device for separating and opening a sack (3) which is piled on top of a stack (2) of sacks. The inventive device comprises a first carrying device (8) revolving via deflector rollers (13a, 13b). The top sack (3) placed on a stack (2) of sacks is lifted by means of a suction device (4, 5) and is passed from below and redirected by the first carrying device (8). The aim of the invention is to create a device which has a simple design and an increased throughput of bags to be separated while conveying the separated sack into a filling position upon removing said sack from the stack of sacks without blocking the separation process. Said aim is achieved by providing the inventive device with a second carrying device (14) which is directed parallel and adjacent to the first carrying device (8) along a clamping section (14a), whereby the separated sack (3) is pressed between the first (8) and the second (14) carrying device and is placed upon and redirected by the second carrying device (14) once the two carrying devices (8, 14) have been deflected.
