Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004081486A1] The invention relates to a protective device for armored vehicles, particularly against hollow-charge projectiles, comprising at least one protective module (4.1-4.2) that is mounted in front of the exterior of a wall (2) to be protected. The protective module (4.1-4.2) is moved out of an inoperative position, in which it is situated in a predetermined position, and into an active position, in which at least partial areas of the protective module have a, compared to the inoperative position, increased distance from the wall (2) to be protected. The protective module can be constructed from a number of components (4.1, 4.2), which can be displaced relative to one another and which, as a result of a displacing motion and/or pivotal motion, can be displaced out of the inoperative position and into the active position, in which they are interlocked.
