Abstract (en)
The compact (1) comprising a base with a hinged lid incorporates a sliding drawer with a catch (24) to hold it closed and a spring (21) to open it. The spring is in the form of one or more flexible strips that can be attached to the back of the drawer or molded in one piece with it e.g. by injection, and compressed against the rear wall of the compact base when closed.
