Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1500435A2] Process for controlling the potential of a piggable pipeline arrangement in which in a system for electrostatic series coating of workpieces an electrically conductive coating material or another conductive medium (6) is conveyed between two pig stations (1, 2) using at least one pig (7, 8) comprises bringing the conductive medium conveyed through the pipeline (5) to the potential of the pig target station on nearing the target station via an electrical resistor (13, 14) which, at least during the coating of the workpieces, lies outside the electrical connection of a high voltage generator (4) to an application element (3). Independent claims are also included for: (1) Device for controlling the potential of a piggable pipeline arrangement in a system for electrostatic series coating of workpieces; and (2) Piggable tube for the above device.
