The motor vehicle door catch has at least one ratchet with a rotary latch (1) and locking pawl and at least one shock damping arrangement (10) for the ratchet between them that reduces the relative speed between them. The shock damping arrangement is implemented at the edge of at least one stop surface (5) on the rotary latch and/or the locking pawl.

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Kraftfahrzeugtürverschluss, welcher mit wenigstens einem Gesperre (1, 2) aus Drehfalle (1) und Sperrklinke (2) und mit einem Stoßdämpfungsmittel (10, 11) für das Gesperre (1, 2) ausgerüstet ist. Das Stoßdämpfungsmittel (10, 11) entfaltet zumindest beim Schließen des Gesperres Wirkung. Erfindungsgemäß ist das Stoßdämpfungsmittel (10, 11) zwischen der Sperrklinke (2) und der Drehfalle (1) angeordnet und reduziert deren Relativgeschwindigkeit zueinander wenigstens beim Schließen des Gesperres (1, 2).
