[origin: EP1500769A2] The wood window frame assembly has a frame for the pane using a profiled bar composed of a number of layers of good value wood and a thin covering layer of a hard wood (24). A similar profiled bar for the window frame (12) has layers of good value wood (20,22) with a thin hard wood covering and a protective cladding (26). Both bars are given a deep and oil-free impregnation in a double vacuum process. The bars are cut to standard lengths (15), and cut to the required lengths for the frames by a miter box saw (14) at 45[deg].
