Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03092422A1] The invention relates to an inline skate which is intended to receive an independent shoe (30). The invention consists of a frame (3); a base (5) which is connected to the upper part of the frame and which comprises an upper surface that is intended to support the outsole of the shoe; a rear quarter (8) which receives the heel of the shoe; an upper part which is equipped with a comfort-providing element (16) that surrounds the lower leg of the user; a front foot clamping device (33) which presses the front part of the shoe against the upper surface of the base; a lower leg clamping device which clamps the aforementioned upper part against the lower leg of the user; and an instep support device (22) which exerts a force on the instep part of the shoe and which comprises a framework providing a continuous support from one lateral side to a medial side and from the instep area to the upper portion of the skate. The above-mentioned rear quarter (8) comprises a rear counter (9), an outer flange (11), an inner flange (12) and a rear flange (10), the lower parts of said three flanges extending from the rear counter and the upper parts thereof being separated by means of indentations (13, 14). A collar (27) surrounds all of the upper parts of the three flanges along a clamping plane which is essentially perpendicular to the axis of the leg.
