Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03071326A1] In order to simplify production of a connector (1) of optical ferrules (8, 13) for interconnecting two optical fibers (5, 9), in particular of different types, an adapting space made of a material transparent to light rays is provided. A plate (17) physically representing said space bears on either side two convergent lenses (14, 15). Such an arrangement provides many degrees of freedom to adjust the characteristics of the transmission of light rays from one optical fiber to another optical fiber.
