[origin: EP1502670A1] The wire surface cleaning, smoothing and polishing machine, has sets of drive (15) and guide (14) rollers. They move the wire through rotatable cleaning stations (4) held on stub axles (13). The cleaning stations contain several movable housings, filled with steel wool, through which the wire may be pulled. The housings filled with steel wool are moved on guide rods (3) transversely to the axis (5) of the wire, the rods have weights on their ends and are linked by pivoted (9) levers (8).
