Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1502715A2] The device is for belts having reinforcing inserts extending at right angles to direction of cut, between two cutting edges engaging in two sides of the belt. The cutting edges are formed on cutting wheels, which rotate in opposite directions and on parallel rotary axis (8,9). One cutting wheel (12) has evenly distributed cutting teeth (30) and is coupled to a drive. The second wheel (22) rotates freely. The drive is a hand crank drive (5) with reducing gear (6). The cutting teeth are triangular, and pref. have straight tooth faces. The wheels are located in pairs (1,2) on a common axis.
