Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03095933A1] Percussion fuses of missiles must meet numerous safety requirements and must trigger ignition with minimal delay. According to the inventive method, after the launch of a missile (M), a turbine/firing pin unit (1) is unlocked behind a cap (2) comprising a central inlet (3), and the rotor disk (1a) of said unit is subjected to the dynamic pressure (S). Said dynamic pressure (S) pushes the turbine/firing pin unit (1) into a front position (II), in such a way that it can act as an impact detector. According to the inventive device, the turbine/firing pin unit (1) comprises a screw thread (1c) on its shaft and is screwed into a threaded bush ( 32), in such a way that the dynamic pressure (S) pushes the unit (1) into the front position (II), against the direction of flow. During the impact, the rear end of the unit (1) acts as a percussion needle and initiates an ignition chain.
