Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1504990A2] The holder (25) forms a unit which is attached ahead of the forestay on the bow (26) of the sail boat. It includes a mounting (27) for the bowsprit (22). The mounting pivots about a horizontal or vertical axis (28). In the mounting, the bowsprit is able to pivot about a second axis (29) which is perpendicular to the first axis.
