Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1506720A1] The incoming tobacco stream (110) contains fibers and fine particles. It enters a sifting machine (120) which produces two output streams, respectively denuded of fine particles (130) and enriched with fine particles (140). The sifting machine is connected to a control or adjustment module (155). There is an optical or gravimetric sensor (145) in the particle enriched stream, connected to a switch (150) connected in turn to the control or adjustment module.
