Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1507125A2] Container comprises a chamber (17) connected to an opening (12) and containing a valve element (18, 19) which can be opened during production of a vacuum and closed when the vacuum has been produced. The chamber is filled with a medium (22) containing a diffusible element or compound which diffuses during unsealed closure of the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a vacuum in a container having a vacuum chamber.
