[origin: WO03102315A1] The invention relates to a flushing device comprising a toilet bowl (5) which is provided with an opening (6a) in a lower region thereof, to which a sanitation line (6) is connected. A rinsing arm (9, 10, 11, 13) which projects into the toilet bowl (5) is used to rinse the inner surface (7) of the toilet bowl (5) with water and thus to clean the same. Preferably, the rinsing arm (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) can be displaced in an extended position for cleaning the cited inner surface (7). In one form of embodiment, said rinsing arm (9, 10, 13) is also used to clean the body and comprises upwardly oriented nozzle openings (19, 10c, 31). Said flushing device is especially suitable for a syphonic toilet and enables thorough cleaning with little water, using an automatic rinsing program.
