[origin: WO03098008A1] The invention relates to through openings for a coolant in a coolable component. The through opening is characterised in that an insert (11) is secured in a first opening (10), reducing the first opening cross-section to a second opening cross-section and is removed from said first opening when a blockage of the second opening diameter occurs as a result of a local increase in temperature and a thermally unstable connection between the insert and the component. According to the invention, the danger of damage to components which are to be cooled, especially turbine blades, as a result of a blockage of fine through openings is significantly reduced.
