[origin: WO03100764A1] Disclosed is a device for modulating noise in a motor vehicle, comprising a hollow body which is separated into at least two chambers by means of at least one sound-transmitting device. One chamber is connected to a gas-containing part of an internal combustion engine that is disposed in the vehicle via an intake pipe while the other chamber is acoustically coupled to an interior space of the vehicle and/or the space surrounding the vehicle by means of a discharge pipe. Said discharge pipe comprises at least one bifurcation from which at least two branch pipes run to different locations in the interior space and/or the space surrounding the vehicle.
