[origin: WO03035391A2] The invention concerns a sealing material or a seal forming a multilayer material of thickness E ranging between 30 mu m and 140 mu m, and designed to close by heat-sealing a container or jar typically based on PP or PS. It comprises a) an outer polyolefin layer (CE), of thickness Ee ranging between 0.9E and 0.6E; b) a sealing layer (CS), of thickness Es ranging between 0.1E and 0.4E, said sealing layer and said outer polyolefin layer having a melting point, respectively Ts for the sealing layer and To for the polyolefin layer, such that To - Ts is at least equal to 20 DEG C, and preferably at least equal to 30 DEG C. The invention provides the advantages of an inexpensive material easy to use and to be recycled.
