[origin: WO03097978A1] The invention relates to a drive (1) for pivoting a vehicle door or vehicle lid (3) that is rotationally connected to a hinge axle(4), wherein the drive (1) comprises a motor (5) and a lever gear (6) mounted downstream thereof. The lever gear (6) has at least one drive lever (7) that is rotationally connected to the motor (5) and at least one output shaft (9) that can be connected to the hinge axle (4). In order to provide such a drive (1) which is built as compact as possible, the drive lever (7) and the output lever (9) are directly and hingedly connected to one another. Since the pivoting axis (8, 10) of both levers (7, 9) are not arranged in a coincident manner, the hinged connection between the levers (7, 9) is configured in such a way that the levers can carry out a compensating movement against one another.
