[origin: WO03102358A1] The invention relates to a submarine conduit of the riser type (1), giving a connection between a floating support (2) and the bed of the sea (4). Said riser (1) comprises a rigid catenary conduit extending from said floating support (2) to a contact point (5) on the sea bed (4), characterised in that said catenary riser comprises a lower conduit section (6). The lower section (6) has a linear apparent weight in the water less than that of the remainder of the conduit (7, 8) which comprises said catenary riser (1).
