Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03100247A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection system for internal combustion engines, comprising a high-pressure accumulator compartment (15). Said high-pressure accumulator compartment (15) is impinged upon with highly pressurized fuel by a high-pressure feed unit (8) and supplies the fuel injectors (19, 23) with fuel. The fuel injection system comprises a pressure control valve (57) that is disposed between a high pressure side (33) and a low pressure side (50, 51, 52) and that actuates a valve element (47). The pressure control valve (57) is actuated by means of an electric actuator (46). The pressure control valve (57), with a front (53), delimits the low pressure zone (50, 51, 52) on the high-pressure accumulator compartment (15) and is sealed off by means of a low pressure seal (54).
