Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1510254A2] To determine analytes in a fluid, the fluid sample droplets (19,20) are deposited on a substrate (1) of a movement plane to be moved to the sensor site while wholly in contact with the substrate using acoustic surface waves from a transducer (7) or electro-wetting. To determine analytes in a fluid, the fluid sample droplets (19,20) are deposited on a substrate (1) of a movement plane to be moved to the sensor site while wholly in contact with the substrate using acoustic surface waves from a transducer (7) or electro-wetting. A sensor at a test zone (21) is brought into contact with the samples to determine the analytes directly or indirectly, using an ion selective electrode. The analytes are identified solely by the sensor or a reaction which is registered by the sensor. The substrate is shrouded by a cover (2), fitted with septums (11) and a lock (13) to secure it at the substrate.
