[origin: EP1510303A1] Knife (1), especially a household knife, comprises a cutting region (3) provided with an undulating section (6) and two knife surfaces (3a), each extending along one side of a central plane. The undulating section has recesses (6a, 6b) molded on both sides of the central plane alternately in one or the other knife surface. The recesses extend from one knife surface in the direction of the other knife surface as far as the central plane to form a cutting edge (5) that runs toward and away from the knife surface. Preferred Features: The recesses are rounded.
