[origin: EP1510632A2] The drain device for the restricted drain of rain water from roofs (1) and sealed surfaces has a retention element limiting water outflow and an overflow for the limiting of the maximum backing up height. The retention element comprises a screening pipe (9) with a number of holes (13) and connected to the upper end of the drain pipe (3), and which is encompassed by a fine filter (23) with a filter surface area which is larger by a multiple than that of the screening pipe.
