Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1510643A1] The profiled beam (1) for a framework has top (32) and bottom (33) flanges shaped from bent sheet metal. The top flange is of inverted U-section with a flat top (16) and downwardly turned sidewalls (6). The bottom flange is of modified U-section, with a double- folded sideways extension (17) at the bottom. U-section fastening pieces (3,4,7,8) are fastened inside the edges of the U-section flanges. they can hold the top and bottom rails of Warren truss members which act as webs of the beam.
