Abstract (en)
The variable valve controller (10) has an arrangement (13) at least for reducing throttle losses in the internal combustion engine, especially when the engine is operating under partial load. The arrangement contains a system (14) for continuous adjustment of the valve lift and opening duration by radially displacing the basic cam circle relative to the center point of the camshaft (11). An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine with one or more variable valve controllers.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine variable Ventilsteuereinrichtung 10 für eine Brennkraftmaschine, insb. für einen Viertakt- Ottomotor, umfassend von einer Mehrzahl von Steuernocken 12 einer Nockenwelle 11 insb. über Ventilstößel betätigbare Ventile und umfassend Mittel 13 wenigstens zur Reduzierung von Drosselverlusten der Brennkraftmaschine insb. unter Teillastbetrieb, wobei diese Mittel 13 zur Reduzierung von Drosselverlusten im wesentlichen Mittel 14 zur stufenlosen Verstellung von Ventilhub und Öffnungsdauer umfassen. Es ist dabei erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß die Mittel 14 zur stufenlosen Verstellung von Ventilhub und Öffnungsdauer im wesentlichen durch Mittel 15 zur radialen Verschiebung des Nockengrundkreises relativ zum Nockenwellenmittelpunkt gebildet sind. <IMAGE>
