Flow guidance components connect to coolant passages, both designed to form a coolant flow path into coolant cavities. In addition they produce a directed flow at the outlet end of the flow path. The guidance component has e.g. a tube, nozzle or blade formation, producing a directed jet. The sealing plate is multi-layered and includes a low alloy steel layer which is formed to direct the flow.

Zylinderkopfdichtung für einen Motor, bei dem der Zylinderkopfdichtung benachbart im Motorblock mindestens ein erster Kühlmittelhohlraum ausgebildet ist, wobei die Dichtungsplatte Kühlmittel-Durchtrittsöffnungen aufweist, über die der erste Kühlmittelhohlraum mit mindestens einem zweiten, im Zylinderkopf des Motors ausgebildeten Kühlmittelhohlraum verbindbar ist; zur besseren Kühlung des Motors weist die Zylinderkopfdichtung mindestens ein von der Dichtungsplatte abstehendes Strömungsleitelement für das Kühlmittel auf, welches sich an eine Kühlmittel-Durchtrittsöffnung der Dichtungsplatte derart anschließt und derart ausgebildet ist, daß das Strömungsleitelement mit der Kühlmittel-Durchtrittsöffnung einen Strömungspfad bildet und zum Eingreifen in mindestens einen der ersten und zweiten Kühlmittelhohlräume sowie zur Erzeugung eines gerichteten Kühlmittelstroms am austrittsseitigen Ende des Strömungspfads gestaltet ist. <IMAGE>
