[origin: EP1369146A1] The posture monitoring device (10) has an inclinometer (26) delivering a signal representing angle of inclination of the sternum to the vertical. A computer (28) cyclically obtains the angle, compares it to two stored angles for maximum forward and backward inclination of the body, and generates a warning signal if an angle is exceeded. A connector (32) links an external computer (34).
