Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03097357A2] The invention relates to a device and a method for positioning a substrate (4) that is lying on a screen table (2) to be printed according to a screen printing process in relation to the printing pattern of the screen (3) of the screen printing device. Once the substrate (4) has been laid on and fixed to the screen table (2) and the screen (3) has been placed in the approximate printing position, the face of the screen (3) that points towards the screen table (2) is illuminated from the direction of the screen table (2) and at least one predetermined edge section (6) of the substrate (4) is detected photoelectrically from said screen table (2). Once the detection signals have been evaluated, the desired position of the screen (3) is adjusted in relation to the actual position of the substrate (4) and printing then commences.
