[origin: US7645506B2] A radiation protection material for the screening of X- and/or gamma-rays is made from a film-like multi-layer composite material, in which radiation absorbing particles are dispersed. The composite material comprises at least one support layer and a radiation absorbing layer, whereby the radiation absorbing layer comprises a hardening polymeric preparation, which can flow in the working state and with an effective lead content of <=15%.
