Abstract (en)
The escalator or moving pavement has a step or pallet band driven by drive chains (16) guided over a drive wheel. At least one chain link (12) of each chain is connected to a raker (10) by which dirt accumulating during the operation of the escalator is removed. The raker is mounted to swivel around a pivot point (22) which extends between the two drive axes of the chain link. The degree of pivoting by the raker in relation to the chain link is adjustable and preferably covers an area of 14 degrees.

Eine Fahrtreppe oder ein Fahrsteig verfügt über ein Stufen- oder Palettenband, das von Antriebsketten antreibbar ist, die über ein Antriebsrad geführt sind, und ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass mindestens ein Kettenglied (12) jeder Antriebskette (16) mit einem Räumer (10) verbunden ist, mit welchem im Betrieb der Fahrtreppe entstehende Verunreinigungen entfernbar sind. <IMAGE>
