Abstract (en)
A papermaking assembly surrenders a web of wet paper, carton or tissue from a press drum (3) to a guiding drum (6) that is part enveloped by a drying suction sieve belt (2). A rotating internally exhausted suction drum (7) is located between the drum (3) and the guiding drum (7). The web (1) makes contact with a sector of about 150 degrees around the suction drum. The transfer drum (7) is separated from the first drum (3) and the guiding drum (6) by 5 - 500 mm. The guiding drum (6) is fixed. The transfer drum (7) has a swivel-mount and is position-adjustable, with a soft perforated polymer or rubber mantle. The perforations represent 5-10 per cent of the mantle surface area with holes of maximum 2 mm in diameter. Also claimed is a process to transfer the wet web from the press drum to the guiding drum.
Abstract (de)
<IMAGE>
