Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10226786C1] Stenter to carry fabric piecegoods through a horizontal drying zone, after a coating station, has structured guide paths for the sliding blocks at the stenter chain links for a smooth passage into the horizontal. The stenter has a horizontal drying zone (3) for a fabric (2) carried through continuously. The fabric is gripped along its longitudinal edges at the chain links of stenter chains (7). Each chain link is coupled to its neighbor by a bolt and, in the horizontal drying zone, the chains travel along guide rails (8) with paths for sliding blocks at the chain links. The guide rails and paths move through a 90degrees deflection zone (9) between a vertical and a horizontal path. The curvature of the deflection path has a center zone in a given radius (R), with structured flanking guide path sections to ensure that the chains with the carried fabric move smoothly into the flat horizontal plane.
