[origin: WO2004001290A1] The invention relates to a coal-fired power station which is heated by dry firing and which comprises a boiler (1) which is connected to a dentrification catalyst (7) by means of a smoke-gas channel (6). A coarse ash separator (16) is arranged on the transition point between an ash funnel (5) of the boiler (1) and a horizontal section (15) of the smoke-gas channel (6), said coarse ash separator comprising an oscillatingly suspended sieve (17) and a stop (18) defining the neutral position of the sieve (17). The smoke-gas channel sets the sieve (17) in a pendular motion, whereby coarse ash particles are separated from the sieve and pass into the ash funnel (5). Said effect is improved by causing the sieve (17) to strike against the stop (18) during the pendular movement thereof. The sieve (17) also forms folds for enlarging the sieve surface and for increasing automatic cleaning effects. Said folds are directed counter to the direction of flow.
