Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03107102A1] The invention relates to a control system and to a control method. The control system comprises a controller that determines a manipulated variable (y) based on a comparison between a reference variable (w) and a controlled variable (x). In order to control a process (1) along predetermined trajectories, i.e. having essentially predetermined courses (20, 22) of the manipulated variable and of the controlled variable, courses are stored in a memory (6), and first set points (yt) corresponding to the predetermined course (20) of the manipulated variable (y), which is determined by the controller, are superimposed in order to form an optimized manipulated variable (y'), and second set points (xt) corresponding to the predetermined course (22) of the controlled variable of the reference variable (w) are fed to the controller (2). This results in obtaining an improved control behavior, particularly in batch processes.
