Abstract (en)
The transducer has a mass ring (54) arranged at an edge portion of a membrane (48) for dampening of undesirable resonances. The ring is separated from the membrane and joined to both, the edge portion of the membrane and the inside of the housing (52) to provide a transducer with the smallest possible dimensions. A ring-shaped dampening unit (64) is attached to the inside of the housing and arranged close to the ring.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Ultraschallwandler mit einem Gehäuse, mit wenigstens einem piezoelektrischen Element, mit einer den Ultraschall abstrahlenden bzw. aufnehmenden Membran und mit einem am Rand der Membran angeordneten Massering zur Dämpfung störender Resonanzen. Um einen Ultraschallwandler mit möglichst kleinen Abmessungen bereitstellen zu können, wird vorgeschlagen, dass der Ultraschallwandler nach dem Längsschwingertyp ausgebildet ist, dass der Massering separat von der Membran ist und randinnenseitig mit dieser und mit dem Gehäuse verbunden ist und dass das Gehäuse innenseitig ein Dämpfungselement aufweist, das ringförmig ausgebildet ist und dem Massering benachbart angeordnet ist. <IMAGE>
