Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004000557A1] The invention relates to a device for supporting and adjusting a form cylinder in a printing group of a rotary printing press that comprises a transfer cylinder (02) and a counter-pressure cylinder (01), the transfer cylinder and the counter-pressure cylinder comprising interacting support elements (06, 07). The inventive device is characterized in that the form cylinder (21) does not comprise a support element that interacts with the transfer cylinder. The form cylinder has a shaft distance that can be adjusted and that preferably can be followed up also during printing to adjust a contact pressure between the form cylinder and the transfer cylinder. The invention especially refers to a printing group whose form cylinder is covered with a waterless printing form. The contact pressure between the form cylinder and the transfer cylinder can be adapted to a property of the waterless printing form, said property being the compressibility of the printing form.
