[origin: WO03103967A1] The invention relates to an application device for a printing/painting unit in a processing machine. The aim of the invention is to produce such an application device which reduces the occurrence of blockages on the passing of a cylinder channel and further improves the printing quality. Said aim is achieved whereby at least one application roller (5, 6, 7) is provided for the forming cylinder (1) with a cylinder channel (10). The application rollers (5, 6, 7) comprise a roller centre (12) on which at least one compressible layer (13) and a cover layer (14) are concentrically arranged.
