[origin: EP1516851A1] The extendable mast construction for a fork lift truck has a mast lift cylinder (40, 42) provided for each inner mast pillar and supported on an outer mast (12), with the piston rods connected by a cross member. An adjustment component having a male thread is fastened to the upper end of the piston rod (56) of one of the two mast lift cylinders, and a sleeve (62) with a female thread is screwed onto the male thread of the adjustment component and has support faces for the cross member (36) connecting the piston rods of the lift cylinders.
