[origin: EP1516997A2] A chest, in particular a kitchen cupboard, which possesses a carcass which has two side walls (2) and a bottom and top and intermediate board (6) together with a front shutter (1) with parallel slats (1a). The front shutter slides into the walls of the carcass along guiding grooves (10). Its slats are joined together by interlinking sections (9), which are connected to the slats on the edges facing the front shutter and to the hinges fitting into the grooves on the edges facing the walls. The hinges are attached to the interlinking sections by means of hinged eyelets.
