Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1517081A2] The lamp unit has a lamp housing provided with a removable frame (2) for reception of a glass cover (3) and housing a lamp tube and an associated reflector, with fixing brackets used for attaching the lamp unit to a wall on opposite sides of the lamp housing. An internal ventilation device is provided for connection of an opening within the lamp housing with the outside of the lamp housing at 2 opposing ventilation points (15,15'). A peripheral seal (20,20') fits between the frame for the cover glass and the adjacent peripheral edge of the lamp housing.
