Abstract (en)
The spark plug has a spark plug housing (2) and an earth electrode support housing (3), the latter having at least 2 sections (3',3'') which are made of different materials and/or the earth electrode support housing is made of a different material to the spark plug housing. At least one of the earth electrode support housing sections has a screw thread (9) used for fitting the spark plug to the cylinder head of an IC engine. An independent claim for a manufacturing method for a spark plug is also included.

Zündkerze, insbesondere zur Verwendung in Brennkraftmaschinen, mit einem Zündkerzengehäuse (2) und einem Masseelektrodenträgergehäuse (3), wobei das Masseelektrodenträgergehäuse (3) zumindest zwei voneinander unterschiedliche Materialien aufweisende Masseelektrodenträgergehäuseabschnitte (3', 3") hat und/oder das Masseelektrodenträgergehäuse (3) anderes Material als das Zündkerzengehäuse (2) aufweist.
