[origin: WO2004001296A1] The aim of the invention is to provide a domestic appliance, e.g. a cooking appliance, which is more convenient to use. This is achieved by a cooking appliance, which comprises at least one heating element (10, 11) and a control device (12), in addition to a write unit (13), which can be used to log the process parameters for process stages in an at least partially automated manner in a memory unit (14) and which has a read unit (15) that can read out the logged process parameters from the memory unit (14). According to the invention, an output unit (16, 17) can at least output variables relating to the duration of a process stage and the heating performance delivered during a process stage and the process parameters are used to at least partially control a process by means of the control device (12).
