The physical training device is provided by a static bicycle having a flywheel disc (22) acted on by a braking device, with a setting device for adjusting the braking force. The setting device incorporates a temperature-dependent setting element, e.g. an expandible setting element, which alters the width of the air-gap between magnets (29) of an eddy current brake and the metallic brake disc (24).

Bei einem Trainingsgerät, insbesondere Standfahrrad oder dergleichen, mit einer Schwungscheibe und einer auf die Schwungscheibe einwirkenden, über eine Einstellanordnung einstellbaren Bremseinrichtung, ist vorgesehen, dass die Einstellanordnung ein temperaturabhängig verlagerbares Einstellelement (35) umfasst.
