Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1518805A2] The method for the determining of production-relevant material properties in a web fed printing press entails first establishing a defined basic state at fixed print positions, then carrying out a specific variation of one of the control components influencing the web tension in the web path, and then from the result of this change on a drive component and/or the web tension deriving information regarding the stretch characteristic of the dry printed material web. An independent claim is included for a method for the presetting of a material web tension in a printing process.
